Karn3 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 While sanding down a handle I've come across some voids and cracks in the wood. Is there anything i can use to fill these, that will still look nice on the finished product? or is there some other method for dealing with these sorts of things? thanks in advance! Quote
Steve Shimanek Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 you can use a gel type superglue and sandpaper to fill minor defects, also colored epoxy can be effective in filling voids. Quote
MattBower Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 One old method is to mix wood glue with sawdust from the handle wood, and fill the crack with that mixture. Quote
Marksnagel Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I've used the sawdust (fine) mixed with wood glue all my life. It is the best way I've found to match the wood. Quote
