Farmall Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Just picked this blower today and have started cleaning it. turns easily, and puts out lots of air. Can't wait to get the mud daubers nests out and the mouse nests all the way out..got most of them already. Anybody got a scanned copy of a Champion catalog that I could see this advertised? Anyway, does anyone have a either a spare handle I can have (5/8-inch shaft) or one that they can take pictures of so I can copy it? Thanks for any insight. Quote
CurlyGeorge Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Use your imagination and build a handle. You're a blacksmith. You can figure it out. :D Quote
Farmall Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Fair enough.....but I do like to keep the equipment looking good.....can't do much about the blacksmith! Quote
pkrankow Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Here's some pictures of my #40. You can see it is simply a near cylinder set up to take a piece of 3/4 x 1/4 inch flat bar (I can remeasure that later) and uses 2 set screws to hold it in place. I am confident that this can be made on a lathe and drill press. with a fair bit of hand filing. Phil Quote
Farmall Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Thanks, Phil! That's what I needed. That should not be difficult at all to make. Quote
pkrankow Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I remeasured and corrected the dimension already. The flat bar for the handle is 3/4 x 1/4 inch. No reason to not use a different size though. Phil Quote
