Nakedanvil - Grant Sarver Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 1 hp should do it. Belts look kinda tight. What rpm is the motor? Quote
dsloan Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Sir, You should contact Sid or Keri at Little Giant even though they deal in Little Giants they can give you useful information on your hammer. I also know for a fact they have springs available. Dave from Diller Quote

Fosterob Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I think you want the machine to hit a certain number of "blows per minute" and adjust the pulleys and belts to achieve that A 1 hp motor is a 1 hp motor. My hammer hits about 220 BPM. Rob Quote
dsloan Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I know on Little Giants you don't want to run over a 1700 rpm motor. I would say this would be a good rule of thumb. Dave from Diller Quote
