Iron Striker
Here are a few pics of my anvil. The numbers at the horn end appear to be 3917 (all I can read). At the other end oppisite the horn are what appears to be T46058. I'm still cleaning it up. Any thoughts? Jamie
CurlyGeorge
Check the second # again. Hay-Budden serial #s didn't start with T. However some did start with "A". Assuming it starts with an "A", it was made in 1922, according to Anvils In America. :D
CurlyGeorge
After rechecking your pictures, it appears that what you called a T could actually be a #1. If that is the case, the anvil was made in 1907, according to AIA. :)

Going to take some time though. Thanks for your help. Jamie
Thomas Dean
Don't know what the #s at the back of the anvil are but if you are reading the SN# under the horn on the left side and that # is 3917 then the birthday is 1893. I can't make out all of the # in your 3rd pic. which you are saying is the 3917 and is under the horn...right?

I can't make out any numbers before the 3 (if there are any). ?? Thank you Thomas.
CurlyGeorge
Thomas, thanks for clearing that up. It's been a long day. I went back and read the OP and I had it "bass ackwards". Sorry for that, Iron Striker.
