January 29, 201115 yr I am sorry if I confused you. Threads don't always go quiet. We try to present and organize information so every one can find it. A heat treated jack hammer bit looks mostly the same as a non treated one does. I moved those reply's into a more appropriate area to make things easier for the other 16,000 member that may wish to read, as it may not occur to them to look into heat treating to read about this.
