CurlyGeorge
I had a customer ask me to make 5 pair of gun rack hooks for him. He wants a Fleur de Lis on the top of each hook. So I had a friend cut them out on his CNC cutter. I also cut a design in each Fleur de Lis with a small chisel. Here's what I ended up with. Oh, the customer is going to line the inside of each hook with black felt.
MRobb
These look very nice! I like them alot. I may borrow you're design for myself, if you don't mind. I'm sure customer will be pleased. Mitch
CurlyGeorge
Borrow away, Mitch. It was a design that others have been using. So it's not mine. The guy stopped by to look at the first set and really liked them. I may make up some extras for selling at next years demos. :D
Braedon
Really nice, neat, and clean! Just curious, what would a set of them go for curly?
CurlyGeorge
I am getting $25 per pair. But, I am a hobby smith and not trying to make a living at this, as I am now officially retired. So I think that the price could be higher. Smithing just fills my extra time and keeps the mind and hands busy. :D
MRobb
Thanks, CurlyGeorge. I'm sure they will sell just fine. Just make sure you make enough. Mitch
Pault17
nice hangers Curley. you could make 'em "lockable" by drilling a hole through the face of the front of the hook and tap a hole through the back of the hanger. then use a long allen-headed machine screw and the long-arm woun't come free. not as secure as a lockable safe, but enough to prevent small hands from playinghanger.bmp
CurlyGeorge
Good idea, Paul. This customer doesn't have any little ones around, though. But that idea would certainly work. Thanks.
