November 10, 201015 yr sounds to me like by rustic this guy is lookig for the kinds and appearance of items that might have been found in the frontier towns from back in the "wild west day" of american history. things that can be sold as "authentic pioneer" items and would be right at home being placed on a shelve near funiture carved and build from small logs.
November 10, 201015 yr Try the book "Early American Wrought Iron" by Sonn. However, you will not find anything "rustic" ie banged up, in the book.
November 12, 201015 yr usually they really want "crude" as they think its more "authentic" also stuff made from rusty horseshoes welded together... many people dont realize that crude stuff was not common... even as far back as the vikings look at the stuff from the mastirmir find sometime...
