DennisG Posted February 17, 2010 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I have been looking at the forums for awhile and every time I see a topic about forge hoods and designs I get interested. What I see is the usual messages about the side drafts, or the pipe, with standard pics. Yes these are good for shops and such, but what I am looking for is the actual plans or drawings for a hood that I can put on and take off my forge whist outside and or at demos. Bad Creek Blacksmith Posted February 24, 2010 Share Posted February 24, 2010 Here's pictures and the plans of the forge I built, drafts really well easy to move around.... I stub a short peice of chimney pipe on the forge and then left a 1/2" gap between the stub and main chimney, and wrapped a piece of sheet metal around chimney where gap is and screwed it in place.
