Paige Price
I once used a resist for copper etching called ?asphaltum? and would like to use it again on a panel I am currently working on. If you know of another product I could use as a resist against PCB etchant, that would be helpful also. Thanx
Jeff Mack
On a very clean piece of copper (I use a product called penny brite from an enameling supplier to prep the copper) I've used sharpie markers for detail work and tape for larger areas. Asphaultum is really the best thing I've used. If you need a source for it, check out thompson enamel. I've bought a lot of stuff from them, and they have been great. lbender
Paige Price, Contactpaper shelf liners make a pretty good resist. Apply to the entire panel, avoiding bubbles, then cut away the area to be etched with a sharp knife.
ThomasPowers
Nail polish, bee's wax, press-apply lettering... Thomas
maidinmetal
I use Ferric Chloride which is available at most computer hardwear supply stores. Ferric Chloride is used to etch the copper mother board using an etch resist, or blackmarker.
