used-iron
Permit me to introduce myself; my name is Lee Stackhouse, a former water well contractor. having sold off the drilling equipment,i retained the machine shop- welding portion of the business and run this full time. Our location is approx 4 miles from the original Woodstock festival site at Bethel NY.Yes i am old enough that i have hand dressed 6,8 & 10" drills in a forge in my younger years. Carbide button bits were a welcome improvment ! So were air rotary rigs. Hope to be able to contribute and learn here. Lee

781
Welcome to the group I was lucky enough to watch an old blacksmith who has since passed sharpen a 6" well bit. He did quite a bite of upsetting with a 6# hand hammer.
