outside Posted November 7, 2009 Author Share Posted November 7, 2009 Thank you everybody. I will be using charcoal as my fuel because it is readily available and I don't like gas. The brake drum forge looks tempting but I might just weld up my own design. Narrow and deep? How deep is too deep? Too deep and the fire has a hard time getting to the right temperature I think. I am new to this so I could be very wrong. Also, isn't compressed air explosive? outside Posted November 7, 2009 Author Share Posted November 7, 2009 What is the optimum depth? The compressed air comes from a compressor through a long hose and is easily regulated. I use the air to get my charcoal bbq going and it works amazingly. I doubt it is explosive, unless of course you were to heat up the tank.
