FLYBYU44
I typed in propane forges into Google and stumbled across this forum. I don't really have any room to make one but would like to one day. I'm currently going to school for my machinist apprenticeship and I'm an avid knife nut as well. I collect and use both folding and fixed blade knives. I notice you guys have a lathe and knife section, I'll have to check that out. Sean
Thomas Dean
Howdy from East TEXAS!! and welcome to IFI! Glad you stumbled in. There are plans/blueprints for both gas and solid fuel in the 'blueprint' section. Don't forget to check out the 'gallery' tons of pictures of members work, shop photos, tools, and even the occasional pet. And just recently a cheeta and blacksmith lapwing (a bird)! Never know what will turn up next. Once again, welcome. Don't forget to post some pics of your work.
pkrankow
You can always make a smaller forge and make it portable so you can use it outside. Knifemaking does not need large tools, so everything can be put up at the end of the day. Welcome aboard Phil
