Rob Browne
Setting up the forge for a quick session with the young fella. The fire was starting up well with plenty of flame so I put on some raw coal. Got sidetracked, then went back and gave the blower a crank. You guessed it, whoomp! Now I only have one eyebrow, half a beard and very short hair on one side. Anyway we settled down and Connor got some good work done on his miners spike and I have an order from SWMBO for a new kitchen knife well on the way. Great day all up :)
Rattlecat
Should give us an picture of that incident, Rob! I can imagine it was a 'fun' experience.
bsiler
Something similar happened to me. I wet my coal down that was on the table. Gave a crank and it exploded back into my blower. Glad I had a fire extinguisher handy. A lesson learned I guess. Glad your OK, at least half way OK! Thanks for reminding us of the dangers. metalliferous
Hair grows back faster than skin. I'm glad to hear there was no lasting damage, and that it didn't scare off the younger smith.
Leland
So now you're a Unibrow, welcome to the club. Unless you're a mouth-breathing knuckle dragger, or Sicilian like me (and yes, the mainland Italians think that's the same thing!) your membership is only temporary. Glad it wasn't worse! :)
strube1369
George Carlin did pretty well with that look (sorta...) for awhile!
