June 30, 200916 yr This is drop point with about a four inch long blade hollow ground from ATS-34 that has been heat treated and cryogenically treated. The guard is 416 stanless to color match the blade and the scales are cut from the molars of a wooly mammoth and have been stabilized for dureability. June 30, 200916 yr Rich, as always that is a beautiful knife. You're one of those makers who always makes me look at the new knives you post. I love your work.
June 30, 200916 yr Rich, are you sure you are not part machine? Every knife you make looks perfect. Really nice!
June 30, 200916 yr Beautiful work. What a grind on the blade, looks simple but I know better. Is it a full tang, looks like the ivory is stacked but also looks like I can see the tang.
June 30, 200916 yr Beautiful! I love the molar contrasts. Great material selection and awesome blade.
June 30, 200916 yr Author Bob I dream of making a perfect knife but not sure it will ever happen. Mark it is a full tapered tang. Nature made the material look as if stacked....lol Thanks to all for the nice comments.
