June 22, 200917 yr Welcome aboard Mertwest, glad to have ya. A good place to start is by reading the "Lessons and Getting started" sections of the site. The "Blueprints" section is loaded with drawings and descriptions of tools, techniques, tips and tricks used by blacksmiths regularly. Of course, talking to us is good, we'll happily answer your questions, heck we'll make something up if we don't know. If you'll click "User CP" and edit your profile to show your location it can make a big difference. IFI is represented by members from more than 50 countries and a lot of info is location specific. If local folk know you're around they can invite you to gatherings, tip you to tool deals and offer hands on help. Frosty
