Glenn, I have been away as you know. I have just seen your extensive post and would also say it should be a sticky. Those who get a used anvil should have their angle grinder and welder confiscated for 6 months so they can't do any restoration work until they have got some experience with that anvil.

    Philip in china: what if we don't have a welder or angle grinder (well i have an angle grinder just not the wheels for it)? can we keep all out tools? :) although some times you can work around it or you just like the current look.
