plott
I am relatively new to blacksmithing and enjoy the forum. Made a few things so far, tripod campset, tongs (need to do better), hooks and such. I am interested in learning more on knives, tomahawks, and everyday items that you can enjoy. Vague? I know, just love to get forged going and working. Weird thing that caught friends attn was a bracelet that I made from scraps. So I am interested in just about everything. Thanks for sharing the info and I will try to get some pics and more posts up.
Frosty
Welcome aboard Plott, glad to have ya. There's nothing wrong with being vague about what you want to make. For a lot of us it's more about the process than the product. Being able to play with fire and manipulate hot iron or steel with hand tools is more enjoyable than what the finished things are. What it really means is you're hooked but GOOD. Welcome to the club. If you'll click "User CP" at the top of the page and edit your profile to show your location it can make a big difference. IFI is represented by members from more than 50 countries and a lot of info is location specific. If local folk know you're there they can tip you to get togethers, tool deals, and offer hands on help. Lots of good reasons. Frosty
