I'm new to the world of metal (It just turned 2026 and I'm 51 currently). I am currently restoring a Columbian blacksmith post vise. So, it involves my first time doing many, many things including building an electrolysis tank and learning about different types of wheels and methods for removing rust and grime, etc. A lot of learning! Then, I dream of making a knife from a railroad spike in a forge. But, first, I'm wanting to lock in the post vise. One step at a time.
