FrontierForge

Hello, everyone. I'm Branden Rapp. I have been a blacksmith/bladesmith for nearly 6 years. I became interested in this ancient craft thanks to shows like Forged in Fire and Iron and Fire. I taught myself the trade through books and instructional videos. Using that knowledge I built my first forge and started shaping iron. Today, my focus is on hand forged knives and sheaths.

My beautiful wife, Dana, and I live in the great State of Kansas. Our forge is located in the town of Ellinwood. No more than 150 years ago, this land was part of the untamed, wild west. Cowboys, Indians, Lawmen, and Outlaws abound. Kansas was a major part of the American Frontier and so the name of our smithy was born: Frontier Forge.

As well as bladesmithing and leatherworking, I am a member of the Central States Metal Artisans located in Wichita, and am an experienced welder.
