Hey everybody, Just a reminder that this weekend the Shayne Carter knife making clinic is going to be held at my shop in Palmer. I got to talk to Shayne the other day, we discussed what he would be demoing. He said he would do some pattern welding for making Damascus blanks in the morning and techniques in forging the blanks. In the afternoon he would lead hands on use of the techniques he taught us. so plan to bring some tools to work with and maybe your forge and anvil if you have a portable setup. clinic is $100 per person, call me at 907-441-6728 to reserve your spot. Hey everybody, Gordon's here and is getting ready for Saturdays clinic. His list of projects and the stuff he has prepared is impressive. The plan is to start at 8:30 am and continue until we are done. We are also planing a sunday follow up doing a hands on mini workshop putting some of his techniques in practice. the followup is no extra charge. so be here saturday to watch the demo and come back sunday to try your hand. His prepared pieces are gorgeous and he is making tooling and other things for Saturday. You really don't want to miss this its going to be great.

Hey, I got a couple of replies and have talked to mark, I am going to tell this lady that it is a go . We don't need a ton of stuff to do a good show just a few nice pieces from our membership showing what is being done and is available from local artists and craftsmen. I hope to see most of you at Gordon's demo and we can discuss the June show then. Pat
