  1. Thanks for the input! I'm gonna get back into the shop today and give it a go!
  2. I bought an old coal forge and the fire pot seems to be raised up about an inch and a half. When I got it, it was filled with fire brick but none were in place. Any insight as to how I'm supposed to lay the brick correctly? Is it just to raise the bed of the fire?
  3. How far apart are your burners?
  4. Ahh okay I was wondering why I couldn't get the video to play haha. Regardless I'll throw some metal in it soon. Haven't tried welding in it yet. That's the next big hump. Running a 100 gal tank.
  5. I'll get some pics or video of some metal in it. Been busy setting up this forging press but it's all wired up and going so I can now move onto my next project. It's been awefully hot here in Pennsylvania this July but I promise I'll get back to you with more. Only problem I have with it is that the burners are too far apart and too close to the entrances, in my opinion. The video has been removed and replaced with a still image as the video was too large (read huge).
  6. I own one! gets plenty hot enough. i wish the gauge of the stainless was a tad thicker. i lined over the kaowool with refractory cement to not let the ceramic become airborne and to help reflect the heat back into the forge. i just made this account so i will try to be diligent about getting some pics/video of it working. -hammer on!
