From the little I know the rebound is good. I have been reading on what a good anvil is supposed look like and sound like and being a novest at this I believe this is a good anvil.

Thank you black frog. That is what I was wondering if hey budden made it, from what I found there was only 300 of them made, is that correct? I have had quite a few people want to buy it when they see it,but I would have know idea what it's worth. I really don't think I would sell it . I almost forgot to tell you all the weight under the name it is stamped 104 so I suppose it weighs 104 lb.

I pick this up at a yard sale for sixty buck, would like to make a forge and try it out. But I found a little bit about blackprince, but would like to here from the professionals. Thanks for your help. Jeff I will send better pictures tomorrow, I wasn't sure what was needed. I don't really have any worry's about it. I think it is in pretty good shape.
