Stupid spell check , I forgot to proof read before posting

I really like this set up I'm really suffering some tool envy ! I need a sewage block to go on my post vise stand . Have fun !
-
Can't help you on the year , but sure is pretty, needs a good hammering on ! Have fun, when she comes in.
-
Man what a gold mine !! Any chance you can get your hands on any of that great stuff ?
-
I agree with fatfudd it looks like a mouse hole anvil. The horn and the general overall shape .
-
Thanks, but I copied it too! All from scrap I had around the shop, except the concrete in the big truck hub. I'm thinking about a tool rack above and behind it .

Hot iron will polish it just give a good beating ,it will get it done in a little time.
-
If it's cheap enough go for it . I also agree it's got the shape of a Columbian vise.
-
Im jealous you've got a power hammer made ,I've been trying to get mine built for a while but family obligations ,and work keep me from it . Could you post more detailed Picts of it , I'm very interested in your design . Have fun making stuff!
-
Yes that's good stuff you got there, I have a 126 pound sisco supreme, I love it ! Have fun with it .
-
It don't matter who made it ! The price was priceless it is as perfect as can be , it's a beauty ,have fun beating some hot iron on it.
-
I agree it looks identical to my mouse hole and would've sworn it was one also had I not saw what was stamped on it
-
I have both a mouse hole and a Sisco supreme , exactly the same model you have ,and use both . I have really fell in love with the sisco .
-
Man , that's nice , put in some shapes and you will be making all sort of things .
-
I stand corrected I'm so sorry for not seeing such an obvious connection, I still would like the honey.
-
How dare you posting a non blacksmithing post like that , but I'll forgive you after I recieve a jar of that honey. Well I guess it followed you home so that makes it ok, this time.
-
Sounds like you did really well , sometimes we get lucky on finding stuff, give us some Picts so we can help you out . Have fun with your new toys.
Ok the Picts appeared I would just use it as is for a while then you will find out what you like or don't like, again have fun.

Always improving , getting better tools . Looks good needs some hot steel and a good beating.
-
I think you got a very good deal I've got 2 Columbia vises , love them both ,paid 50 dollars and 35 for the other and neither is as heavy as yours.
-
Give it a good brushing over to see if it has any markings , some do some don't . Just bolt it to a stand with the post down firmly, then go to work there's plenty of pictures of post vises mounted to stands on this forum and on the net. Good score

Get some hot iron and give a good beating, see how you like it good luck.
