    Thanks for quick reply. the only thing I've done so far is a light wire wheel to clean up surface, followed by a light coat if oil. next issue is finding a suitable stand. as is, just don't trust a 5 gallon bucket with 150 lbs on top!!!!

    Just found this anvil on Craigslist. I paid $2 per pound, which I though was fair. Condition looks decent, although I'm not an anvil expert. Any thoughts on the face condition? would it be worth a light flap wheel resurface or best to keep it how it is? I'm not a blacksmith, just a tool junky. thoughts? thanks.
