Hi Michael, I wanted to ask question about hofi style side draft and seems like you know quite a bit about it and I didn't want to start new thread. 3 questions really... Can the horizontal square duct penetrate through wood framing safely? also, I have vinyl siding on outside of shop, and was also wondering if I can wrap the horizontal with the vinyl J-channel(with small gap then caulk with high temp chimney caulk) and put siding back on? and lastly, is the standard 30guage 12" round duct for vertical sturdy enough for a 15 foot(3 pieces) stack? Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jake

Steve, something I've been unable to find in your classes and my biggest problem I'm having by far is: after forging a blade to desired thickness/width/length, I find I usually have some kind of bend or twist to my blank and I'm struggling to get it true and straight. Seems the more I work at it the worse it gets. Wondering if you have any tricks or advice that might help. Would appreciate any advice you could give greatly. Thanks, Jake
