Just a note, word is that soldiers aren't allowed to bring any weapons back. Even personal ones they brought themselves. If you make it for your friend, don't expect him to come back with it. A smith I know on another board had two knives commissioned but the buyer had to order two more and asked that they just be serviceable and left rough as they would be disposable.

Is there any way to make old rusty cable usable? I have a piece from a bridge that washed out at the place we used to camp when I was a kid so it has a bit of sentimental value. It would be cool to be able to make something out of it.

Hello everyone. Been lurking for awhile but this is my first post. I was surfing around on harbor freight the other day and found these. - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices I'm wondering if in a pinch they would work as monkey tools. I know everyone says their tools are crap but I guess Ive just always been lucky with the ones I've gotten.
