It was part of how it had been mounted at some point. Got it mostly cleaned up today. Also got her weighed, not quite as heavy as I thought but still a massive 220lb. Going to build a stand to mount it to tomorrow. '> '> '>

Greetings. I lucked out and found myself a great Christmas present. 8 3/4" jaw in beautiful shape. Going to have to rearrange the shop a bit to mount it. I haven't found scales I can weigh it on yet but I'd guess it's in the 300lb range.
