  1. Also have a look at www.downlandengeneeringservices.com. Worth a look!!
  2. Have a look at www.surtech.co.uk They have a very useful catalogue packed with helpful hints but they state that they do not have a trade counter. Confused.com as they seem to stock everything you need to make such a grinder. Not been in touch with them yet as I am in France. They are in your neck of the woods too. If you do get in touch with them please let me know. Cheers
  3. Thanks Bash, I thought it was around those prices. How can you tell the quality without burning it?
  4. Arr buy it again Mac, we know you wat to!!!
  5. Ah ha I have just found out how to change my user name!! Johnnie it is.
  6. I have recently been offered washed and graded coke at £200 per ton. Does anyone think this is a good price? Apparently the quality is very good. Should I load up? Johnnie.
  7. Hi guys, I am wanting to make a Linisher belt grinder but am lost as to where I can purcase the various wheels needed. A UK seller would be preferable or European because of the postage cost, Can anyone recommend a supplier? Has anyone used Surtech in the UK? Any help would be very much appreciated.
  8. Not really a lot to see really. Just the rise and fall latch and the thumb bar to move it. Sorry for the long wait for the reply. Had problems with my account and have to use this new one. Think the photo isn't great but sure you'll get the jist. Cheers. Johnnie
  9. Of course I will. I hope to be moving the hammer to her new "bed" this weekend and re-building it. Not to sure how long to leave it before starting her up as the concrete is still going to be very green! Also I am going to invest in a slow starter to be kind to the motor and save blowing the electric everytime I flick the switch.
  10. Hi peeps, After 3 weeks of problems with my IFI account I am back on under the pseudonym fredbloggs. No one seems to know what happened, so hello IFI just thought I'd say HI again!!
  11. Hi guys, its johnnie! I have had a lot of problems with IFI recently and have had to open a new account as "fredbloggs" to get back on here. The hammer is still unused but have changed a few bearings and poured a new reinforced foundation 15" deep as the floor in the forge is only 4" concrete and the last thing I want is her digging herself into the floor. Anyway back for the time being alas as fred bleeding bloggs!
