Thanks for the comments guys.

I like it! Now I have to ask, how did you do that?
Piece of 5/8" drill rod forged to a point, then forged flat, forged out tang. Threaded end of tang and screwed all together. -

Very nice knife. Aluminum looks good to me.

OOOHHH that's tight.
How did you seal, attach the guard?
And what grit for the satin finish?
Great work as usual.
Thanks
Mark
Mark, the guard is soldered on. Finished to 600 grit, thanks for the compliment. Buddy -

very nice. I like the diff. hardening line, did you clay it?
stainless for fittings - i like it. I wish I had thought of doing it.

Yes I use Satanite down the middle. -
why did you harden the spine too? normally a differential H/T is cutting edge only.
I have an old Bowie knife I made a long time ago. I use it to cut off pieces of hart pine for kindling. The spine is soft on that knife and after years of beating on the spine with a hammer it has mushroomed out quite a bit. I know this knife will probably not be beat on, but who knows what it will be used for. I have not broken any test blades hardened this way, but plan to soon. Any of you guys broken a blade heattreated this way? -

Thanks Guys, The minis are difficult for me to make, but I enjoy them.

I like the blade shape, I agree it should be a very good chopper. Looking foward to seeing it finished.
