Steve, We use a tumbler at work for small parts that don't get drilled. ( tumbling can raise burs on corners that are hard to set level in vise. But machine is virtually like a cement mixer however VERY heavy duty. Walls of barrel are 1/2" thick! Hydraudlic motor drives it and yes, It is VERY noisy!!! :)

Where can I see pics of this project? sounds Cool (no pun intended ) I an currently working on an anvil I cut from 4" plate on a CNC flame cutting machine. roughed horn with a A/O torch and am finishing with flap wheel-Dodge

Hey all. My name is Scott Scheer, AKA Dodge. Been around this site and Anvilfire for a few years. Hobby smith (and still learning ) I built my own forge, power hammer, and am in the procces of carving out an anvil from a blank I cut on a cnc machine for 4" plate. All to be posted when I figure out how to light this candle LOL

Not 100% positive but I think A2 is an air hardening tool steel. Also not sure of the carbon content.
