CALL FOR ARTISTS! Seeking fine artists and artisans for the International Blacksmiths Day Festival at Grayhaven Winery, Gum Spring, VA May 24! Our focus is on metals, of course, but all media are welcome! Juried; deadline to apply is May 1. November 09 2013 Meeting at the Field Days of the Past show grounds. Hosted by Bobby Williams. Demonstration by Nick Ireys. 9-1 DIRECTIONS: The Field Day of the Past show grounds are located at the intersection of Rt. 623 (Ashland Rd.) and Rt. 622 in Goochland County, off I-64, Exit #173 (Rockville-Manakin) south. Grounds are located 1/8 mile from the interstate. Follow the signs. From the south take I-95 N to I-64 west and take Exit #173. From the north take I-95 S to I-295. Merge onto I-64W to Exit #173. From the west, take I-81 to I-64 E and take Exit #173. From those south of the James River, take Rt. 288 N to Broad Street Road West exit (Rt. 250) and go approximately one mile to stoplight at Rt. 623 (Ashland Rd.). Turn right and follow signs Please bring your eye & ear protection. You will be forging. Don’t forget something for Iron in the Hat, money for IITH tickets & something to share for lunch. Go 1/4 mile - follow winery tour signs. *Winery Tour Signs: When you are within 5 miles of Grayhaven, you will see small roadside directional signs leading to the winery. The signs have a large Grape Cluster and an arrow telling you which way to turn. Directions from Grayhaven to Walton Park: LT onto W Gray Fox Cir. RT onto Fox Chase Run. RT onto Shepherd Spring Rd.
