  1. It really depends on what you are doing.... I use my propane only when I need to uniformly heat something to a good orange/yellow... The Coal for 90% of all my work. The coal runs at most $20 per hundred and would last four days or so of work. I get about two days out of a normal BBQ grill tank. I do know that charcoal burns faster but it also depends on your blower.... If you want to conserve fuel use a hand cranked blower.
  2. Hey Mike! I stopped by Moore Coal this morning to see what they had. It looks pretty good although they could not tell me much about it. I took a chunk of it with me and will throw it in the forge and see how it burns and if it stinks too bad. we are looking to get some more for Tannehill Forge and may even start selling it again... who knows. Moore is selling theirs at $12.00 if you pick through it and $10.00 if they load it for you (per 100 lbs.)
  3. Do any of the Alabama Suppliers carry Met Grade Coal or just Stoker?
