-
The plans are for the future, I'm just beginning have made a working pair of tongs since then, have made some spike knives. Right now I'm getting the material for a future shop. I'm planning ahead.
-
okay. will do. it's not mark. just cheking some stuff out right now.
-
I am getting the material before i build, it's just the anvils that i need help with. Also, on craigslist, wha tkind of a seach would i do. just type in anvil once i have my city chosen?
-
okay, i meant, i will sustain a lower heat in those two when tempering, otherwise, just as hot.
-
i need help finding a website that sells good but inexpensive anvils, or a way to find anvils in my area.
Please help. Maximum budget for two anvils combined: $1000 -
Good question. But anyhow, does anyone think that the main forge is too big for three people using at the same time?
-
Well I'm going to have one main, then two smaller for students and lower heat.
-
Where does he order from, because he is just re-selling correct?
The price is $3100. Not under $2000. -
What do you use TP???
-
I wnat to get one to, but have find a way to get one that's less that $2000. But is there any other way that I can improve my forge?
-
I've tried multiple, and so far charcoal is the cheapest for me, but coal is hotter and doesn't require as much, im probably gonna by charcoal, coke, and coal and mix them together in my wood silo that will come into my shop so that i can use them all to obtain the best possible heat for me.
-
That anvil looks like 944lb and must be like $7000 dollars. That thing is incredible.
-
Holy xxxx, how big is that anvil???? And how much did it cost him, that's the size of a small child. I like the setup, might consider changing mine.
-
Which one is better? I prefer coal/charcoal as it is more authentic. Gas is more dangerous and a little more efficient.
what do you think? -
I just put them there for now. Just to get everything set. Then we will adjust it all to fit our needs.
-
How do you all find so many spikes and what not on the railroad
-
-
HOLY **** wow. That's a lot of scarp that is useful.
-
Oh, my bad. I didn't know that concrete is bad. Other than if you get it wet then heat it could blow up, but i forgot till just now. oops.
-
carpus...i couldn't think or find anything else. when i cant figure one out, i use allwords.com then crossword solver. and then look the definition up.
-
just use some cement. it wont wear away as fast. im making plans for my forge, that i will post later this month
-
that's cool. so it's like a big family hobby?
