This might not be the same one you are thinking about, but it has a spring to open it.

Sorry, I can not get the picture to attach.
It is a smithing magician that has a striker spring added between the top and bottom dies. Looks to be something that might work. It was posted by anvillain. -
In the way gone past, we would take a juice can and cut a slot in the top. That will make a bank out of it. Have the keds draw a picture of the event that they want to go to on it. Then they funded their own spending money.
Do not leave the kids out of outings, its memories that can not be replaced.

Over on the knive forums they use wrought iron for hardwear, guards, pomels, end caps and
the like. It makes some nice looking stuff !!

There used to be some really nice blueprints on this site, but they were omited on one of the improvements to the site. They were one of the best things about the site. The members here are some of the best in the country, and the most sharing.

I find that things on crages list and e-bay to be over priced. I have watched for a while.
Most of it is people over estimate what a item is really worth.

I have a friend that builds small wood items, bird houses, toys and such. He rents a storage unit in a place that lets people work out of it.
Check some out in you area to see if any would be willing to allow you to have a propane forge and anvil set-up.

Yes, a great find. I agree that it might pay you back a number of times over to reclaim the blowers.
I would be interested in one if the price and shipping did not total too much.

The forge stands 17 inchs high, the bench that it sets on is 22 inchs high. That puts it up to a good working highth for me.
I think that is a bit small for blacksmithing, that it doesn't have enought surface area for some things.
Thanks for the input.

I would like to say Think You to Brian and the other smiths of his caliber that post on this site.
I learn by seeing, not book instructions, and I look forward to their post.

That is very nice. Thank You for resizing and posting again.

I would like to say to anyone that has not had a heat stroke to try your best not to. A person never gets over it. By all means stay hyderated, and if you start to feel weak, get off your feet and out of the sun.
