  1. Thanks for the response. As I look closer I believe it actually is a Trenton. Trentons with a serial number (no letter) can be related to the year of manufacturer. Trenton serial numbers starting with an A would be circa 1898-1920.
  2. Hello all, I am looking to purchase a 130lb anvil from someone who told me it's a Trenton. The serial number is A90650 and is stamped with an M130 (showing its weight I believe. Here is a picture of it, any information would help greatly!
  3. I know the thread is rather old but id like to add a similar set of fireplace doors I made a while back.
  4. If some of the tap is exposed (or even flush with the piece) I will usually mig weld a nut that fits around the tap to the tap and use a wrench to gently turn the tap out of the hole. Just be careful backing off as the tap is hardened steel and is brittle (as you have noticed if you tried the vice grips method).
