  1. Wow just WOW!!!!    I think I love the sequence of building and your splannin more than the finished picture. Our scrap yards have nowhere near such a vast variety to choose from. I hope the price tag reflects the cost of buying all that scrap. Soon as all the snow is gone I'm out to my favorite scrap yard. I am Inspired ; what a high thanks a million!!!!!    sfDuck

  2. I think you made the right decision , by making two. As for the slipping wooden handle using a full tang is fine as you can use a braided wire that goes through the hole in the handle to fasten the braid to . The outside of the handle the braid can round the handle at an angle or flush together ,copper or silver add a niece touch.

  3. I'll take a dozen ov em! Dang nice work, just as I'd expect from yas. The mantle pieces are the Crownin parts. An no I'm not dead yet, just smells like it! AHHHHH too close to the mares butt agin! See ya ALL IN THE FUNNY PAPERS AGIN bYE

  4. I just aquired this Brooks Anvil from England and its marked 3/4 a cwt , so 75 lbs. It had been used to beat on punch on and a chicken roost. The edges are chiped off. So after a lot of grinding and welding with 7018 after it sat for a few hours I welded and grinded ed and again,,,,I usually do the last finishing passes with a 120 grit sanding disc. Then paint everything but the table. MY question is........... ya theres always aquestion after all this typing. Whats a fair price for it before I refinish it. I owe a friends widow for it?post-196-0-10343100-1314131711_thumb.jpgpost-196-0-11847500-1314132136_thumb.jpgpost-196-0-20849700-1314132471_thumb.jpgpost-196-0-99038700-1314132867_thumb.jpg[
