Great frame. Now quote on building a wall to hold it ! The decorating on the frame is the hard bit to figure and you spiked that to the wall, well done.

Looks like my cousin! Really nice. I liked the first version, but using both ideas. The round taper looks a lot like a tree branch; attach that to the second stand with the bird grasping the branch.

Real nice work, clean lines; and beautiful scrolls.

GAR .......ya did it again, Just amazing!

Wow just WOW!!!! I think I love the sequence of building and your splannin more than the finished picture. Our scrap yards have nowhere near such a vast variety to choose from. I hope the price tag reflects the cost of buying all that scrap. Soon as all the snow is gone I'm out to my favorite scrap yard. I am Inspired ; what a high thanks a million!!!!! sfDuck

You captured the perfect comic look with your Roo, it makes me chuckle just thinking of it. And the sequence of building is very insightful, Thanks for sharing. Duck

Try looking at flower shop displays, they have a great variety of ideas from various artists.

Lee Valley stamps are fine, been using them for many years now. They are good tool steel , but the temper will change with too much heat. So cold or warm are OK

I can't find the picture right now but two forks with the tines that fit inside each other to lift that big turkey out of the roast pan. Mine were 1/2 in. sq. stock with twists and tendrels that wrap around the handles .

Well done!

Minature steam whistle key fob. Doesn't have to work just look like one.
A lump of coal inside a clear plastic dip, for a key chain fob
Minature rad caps that showed the engine temp inside a set of wings. Critter heads that fit over rad caps. Branding iron initals or logos,as real branding irons. Chevy or ford branding irons -
Ode to ferries.... On mules you find two legs behind and two you before, so stand behind the two behind before you find the two before!

Try crazy glue? or all the above

I think you made the right decision , by making two. As for the slipping wooden handle using a full tang is fine as you can use a braided wire that goes through the hole in the handle to fasten the braid to . The outside of the handle the braid can round the handle at an angle or flush together ,copper or silver add a niece touch.

I just aquired this Brooks Anvil from England and its marked 3/4 a cwt , so 75 lbs. It had been used to beat on punch on and a chicken roost. The edges are chiped off. So after a lot of grinding and welding with 7018 after it sat for a few hours I welded and grinded ed and again,,,,I usually do the last finishing passes with a 120 grit sanding disc. Then paint everything but the table. MY question is........... ya theres always aquestion after all this typing. Whats a fair price for it before I refinish it. I owe a friends widow for it?[

Hi Hans the next thought that came to me was the condition of your 1/4 inch tube for propane, it might have some crude on the end of it; or try moving it in a little. Just a guess or two. Have fun!
