bigfootnampa Members March 7, 201115 yr Author stats Mark; I hot set the tang but also filled in with Kwik-Poly which is the best stuff I have ever found... though most any good epoxy would be adequate. Antler has a spongy center which needs glue reinforcement for a reliable bond. This was made for a Christmas present for a family with hunting traditions... they specifically requested the antler handle. The antler is legal BTW... purchased from an elk rancher here in Missouri.
Marksnagel Members March 7, 201115 yr Author stats I have a lot of Whitetail antlers that I have either killed or found as sheds. the thought that the antler was illegal never even entered my mind. I'm working on several knives, all my firsts, and want to put some antlers on them. Thanks for the advice about the Kwik-Poly. I'll check it out. Mark<><
