January 16, 200917 yr just joined , looking forward to the site, I 'm a retred Tool & Die maker. Got my start as a farrier and just kept going, addicted full bore. retired twice already,and still working 40+ hours a week , just love that red hot steel!
January 16, 200917 yr Howdy from East TEXAS!! and welcome to IFI! ALWAYS good to have a fellow TEXAN join up. A couple of groups you might be interested in: Saltfork Craftsman Artist Blacksmith Association, the Oklahoma group and you can attend a meeting EVERY Sat. somewhere in OK! We, I'm a member, have 4 regions with excellent smiths in each and new folks are always welcome! The NTBA, North Texas Blacksmith Association, meets the 2nd Sat of each month usually in the Dallas MetroPlex area, also a good group of smiths and the same with new folks, always welcome. Looking forward to seeing you here and will be looking for some pictures of some of your work! Once again, welcome.
