Jacob s Posted November 29, 2008 Share Posted November 29, 2008 i saw a sword that was red but made of steel, i was told it was blued,if that was a bluing proscess then that wold mean there were more colors steel could turn, about how manny colors can occer in steel smithing? matt87 Posted November 29, 2008 Share Posted November 29, 2008 It may have been a variation on the 'browning' process -- this is a somewhat similar process to proper (hot) blueing and is a controlled rusting.
