eawols01
I am attempting to construct a tire hammer. In browsing the internet at other builders' versions, I have noticed that some are using a thick solid metal drive wheel attached to the motor's shaft as the clutch. What do you all generally use for this? Did you turn it out on a lathe? Can it be purchased somewhere? What are your solutions for this? Thanks! markh
John Wayne Taylor Phone: 334-514-2254 Location: Wetumpka Alabama This guy is a friend of Clay Spencer and he makes and sells a lot Tire Hammer components to Clay's specs. He gave me the prices and they seem very reasonable. the drive wheel is $40, the spring is $30, the arms are about $140, and the lead weight is around $7. I plan to buy these from him because he uses the same jigs as Clay Spencer so I know the parts will be better than my own products.
