first timer
Hi all, I'm a retired engineer looking to get into knivemaking as a past time. I've got some books and I'm ready to make a gas fordge, were would be the best place to buy the supplies? The main thing I'm not sure on is the gas burner, can you make them or is it best to buy one? Also if there are any members out there in Co. I'd love to drop by some afternoon to learn from you. Thanks Greg
Frosty
Welcome aboard Greg. You can buy gas forges in virtually any stage of construction from raw materials to complete kits, to ready to go units. If you build, we'll be happy to help you put it together. I build mine from the burners up as do lots of guys here. If you'll click on "User CP" at the top of the page and edit your profile to show your general location you might discover playmates close by willing to lend a hand.
