onetreeforge Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 Got this old drill press in a local auction, it was a bit sad, its an Arrel made in england, the quill had a few teeth broken off it because a bolt head jammed into them witch had fallen in, next I will get flatbelts made and it should be good, motor works well but is 3 phase so I will get a VFD, they work well, the part of the world I am in I have 240v in every room of the house. onetreeforge Posted July 2, 2025 Author Posted July 2, 2025 I had to get it out of an old barn full of rats and fleas, the rats and filled up the inside of the hollow part with hay and rag, I had to borrow my friends waggon to pull the trailer but it had been sitting for a very long time and got stuck in low range and then the transfer cace got stuck in neutral and then it wouldn't go up a big hill because the airfilter was totally plugged but got home in the end Quote
