I Forge Iron

Recommended Posts

I just picked up this anvil for a small steal- it’s pitted through and through, but I have another anvil for a smooth face.

I think it is a Trenton.
I’d love a positive ID!

dimensions are: 26” horn to heel, 4” wide, 10.5” high.

I don’t have an exact weight, but I would guess between 150-175?2610C57D-4ED9-456A-AE45-ECC9F5EBD34D.thumb.jpeg.a3c153a066d50a36ca397f50f6f12a7e.jpeg

I don't know but the picture of the side looks to me to be remnants of the Arm & Hammer logo. I think the Trenton's were made by the same  foundry. If it has the fullering marks from a steam hammer under the heel it is an Arm&Hammer.

A good picture of the logo.
