jcovais
Hi All....My name is Jim. several years back, I lost a dear friend named Russell, who lived in Alabama. I live in virginia. He was an excellent smith. As a matter of fact he was excellent in everything he did...I had the pleasure of making a knife with him before he died, and have not been near a forge since. I have recently thought buying a forge and educating myself by finding some instruction in my area....Anyway I just thought I'd say Hello Jim Covais

yesteryearforge
Welcome Jim There are at least 6 ABANA affiliated guilds in virginia One is THE BLACKSMITH GUILD OF VIRGINIA and we would welcome you to any and all of our meetings which are usually held the 3rd saturday of each month. Between the wealth of information here and what you can learn at these meetings the sky is the limit as to where you can take this interest. Look around this site and check out blacksmithguildofva.com again WELCOME to the site Mike Tanner
