Forging an Ax Eye Mandrel

So few years back I wanted to make a new felling ax. 

I called up my old striker and he agreed to help me at the last Demo of the year which was at a winery..  All ready had snow on the ground and it was a cold day. 

3/4X2.5" stock size. Don't know how long it was for starting length. 

Was a rush project of sorts and it's interesting because I was still finding my forging sea legs.
