Firepiper
Need help identifying this forge. It’s a family heirloom I recently acquired.
CtG
Try to get pictures of identifying marks. Numbers, letters, etc. That should help. In addition, adding a location is helpful for future questions. Nice heirloom either way!
Firepiper
Can’t find any identifying marks. I’m busting the rust on the pan right now. Maybe there will be something on there. All the other parts are clean. No marks.
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
I believe it is a Leader bench top forge #13 or #14 made by Canedy Otto Mfg Co. I have a pdf (from bamsite) of their #8 price list and it looks like it in the illustrations. If you plan to use it be sure and clay the cast iron pan to prevent it from cracking. It looks to be in excellent shape and some oiling of the gears should get it going.
Firepiper
Thank you. I think that may be it. There are even holes where the shield would attach. Only thing different is the hearth is square not round.
