KDL Posted July 18, 2019 Share Posted July 18, 2019 I just bought the DAS Toobinator on EBAY. I have set it up using the belt it came with. A piece of the belt has broken off 2 times hitting me. You can still catch a sharp edge on a belt which may rip it and then a flap will stick out and smack you as it goes around, but in my experience if you're careful that's rare. Also, if you try to use belts past the end of their productive life you tend to push harder which makes it more likely that will happen. Belts are an expensive consumable, but the advice to use them like they are free is sound. When they stop cutting well they need to go into the trash and be replaced.
