May 4, 200818 yr Finished up a nice set of table legs, no forgework just cut and weld, and a bit of bending on the hydraulic press. Both sets of legs, plus the 5 foot connecting bit are from 3 inch wide 3/8ths thick, the tabletop is going to be 2 3/4 thick oak barn beams! It is meant to be able to dissassemble, but still be sturdy when all put together. Pictures tommorrow .
May 4, 200818 yr Author I totally dig that sig Larry, I love that song! Here's some pictures (I even smiled this time), i'll have more with the barnwood top when it goes on, turns out it is 3 inch thick not 2 3/4.
May 5, 200818 yr Very Nice Table leg set. Looks like you will have a nice workbench when finished. As usual great job.
May 5, 200818 yr Sam, It would be great to see a picture with the beams on it. Nice work as usual! Travis
May 5, 200818 yr Author Thanks guys! Maybe if the barn beam guys want one for themselves, I can trade them a set of legs for a set of beams, to make my own bench. This set is going to be a dining room table, big enough to seat about 18 people. Travis I will definately get pictures when the beams are on.
May 5, 200818 yr Thanks Sam, it's one of my favorites as well. The legs look very sturdy, can't wait to see what it looks like with top on. You'll need a forklift to move it though!
