May 1, 200818 yr Injection molding plants often toss out their old ejector pins, which are usually made from H13. You might check to see if any are around you as a scrap source.

Hope this helps. A correction for Alan, I found out when I ordered more steel last month that the Indy office is now closed. I found out when I called to see why my Email orders were un answered. the people didn't forward the Indy Email to the new office . Our area is now served by their Ohio office. but the same 800 number, same fast service.
May 3, 200818 yr Pacific Machinery and Tool steel had both H13 and S7 (also O1,A2,and D2) on ebay selling 25lb bundles for $25. I went up to Pacific and purchased 500lbs of O1 and 25lbs each of A2 and D2. All for $1/lb. Great deal if it is still available.
