    Can you tell us what country it is in?  If I tell you I have an old car and ask you what it is, the location can help as it may be a Citroen in France, a Fiat in Italy, a Lada in Russia or a Ford in the USA.

    What are the markings and do they match the weight in kg, lbs or cwt?

    It is Estonia. The numbers read 458 or 488 and the lower is eight

    So the weight has no correlation with the numbers stamped.  You will probably need an Eastern European anvil expert  for that one.
